How to use the Report Card Builder
- Students: add each child's first name, pronoun, year (1st Year or 2nd Year) and level.
- Write comments: pick a student. The builder puts together a Religion comment and a main comment from Kelly's phrases, with the child's name and pronouns filled in.
- ↻ picks a different wording for that part. ‹ › step through the wordings one at a time.
- +1 adds another sentence to that part from Kelly's past reports, and ✕ removes it.
- Lock keeps a part you like when you shuffle the rest.
- Shuffle all builds a new version of the whole comment.
- Press + Note on any part to add your own anecdote. It goes in right after that part.
- Use the Notes log to jot down observations during the term, then tick Use and choose where each note goes.
- The finished comment box is yours to edit. Your edits are kept unless you press Rebuild from phrases.
- The checks show the character count and flag leftover placeholders, exclamation marks, other students' names and 1st Year / 2nd Year wording.
- AI cleanup (optional): type any instructions, press Clean up with AI, then choose Use this or Keep mine. Set the passcode on the Settings tab first.
- Press Copy and paste the comment into the report card program. Tick Done when finished.
- Save class file keeps your class list and comments. Save it in the Report Cards folder in OneDrive so it's backed up. Next time, use Open class file.
- Export to Word makes one document with every student's comments.
Everything stays on this computer. Nothing is sent over the internet, and no account is needed. The builder also remembers your work in this browser between visits, but the class file is the safe copy.
Always read every comment before it goes on a report card. Only keep details that are true for that child.
